FORMED THROUGH COMPETITION
At Horizon Prep, athletics are about more than winning games. We believe competition is one of the greatest environments for developing character, leadership, discipline, resilience, humility, and courage.
Our mission is to develop young men and women who compete with excellence, lead with integrity, and represent Christ in the way they live, work, and serve others.
We compete to win.
We pursue excellence relentlessly.
But we believe the greatest victories are found in who our athletes become along the way.

WHY HORIZON ATHLETICS?
Known Personally
At Horizon Prep, athletes are not lost in a system. They are known, challenged, mentored, and developed personally by coaches who care deeply about who they are becoming both on and off the field.
As a smaller school, we believe our size is one of our greatest strengths. Our athletes compete in multiple sports, step into leadership roles earlier, and experience meaningful opportunities to grow, contribute, and lead.
Serious Athletics. Healthy Culture
We pursue excellence with discipline, preparation, toughness, accountability, and joy. We believe high standards and healthy culture should exist together.
Our athletes are taught to:
Compete relentlessly
Lead humbly
Put team before self
Handle adversity with courage
Pursue growth through discipline and coachability
We are building athletes who are harder to play against than they are talented.
ATHLETICS AS DISCIPLESHIP
Sports are not separate from formation — they are one of the ways formation happens.
Every practice, workout, game, team meeting, and challenge becomes an opportunity for students to grow spiritually, mentally, relationally, and competitively.
Our coaches are mentors, disciplers, and developers first. They are committed to building the whole athlete while creating team cultures rooted in integrity, accountability, encouragement, and excellence.
